Divisions

West Vancouver Little League offers baseball programs for boys and girls aged 4 through 16

TeeBall (AGE: 5 to 6)

TeeBall introduces young players to baseball in a safe, supportive, and fun environment. The focus is on movement fundamentals and learning basic skills such as running, throwing, catching, and hitting. Because of the age group, a parent or caregiver must remain on the field and participate during all practices and games. Coaches lead structured drills, and additional adult support keeps players active and engaged.

Farm builds on the foundations from TeeBall with an emphasis on safety, skill development, and enjoyment of the game. Players advance their throwing, batting, baserunning, and positional awareness while working in a team-focused setting. Players also begin learning the catcher position using full protective gear. Coaches operate the pitching machine to provide consistent and safe hitting opportunities. Games generally end with the ever popular relay race around the bases.

Minors (AGE: 9 to 10)

Minors is the development level for players advancing from Farm, new to the game, or needing additional development before moving up. Placement is based on skill readiness and safety. Players pitch, and walks are removed for the first month to keep the pace of play consistent. During this first month, after four balls the batter keeps the current strike count and completes the at-bat off a tee. Base stealing is permitted except home. Players must demonstrate readiness for this level, and younger players require sufficient experience before entering Minors.

Girls Only (AGE: 8 - 9 & 10+)

West Van Little is the home of the District 5 Lionesses, the North Shore’s all-girls baseball program. Our goal is simple:
to introduce more girls to the game and to provide a space where girls can play as their authentic selves, comfortable, confident, and able to thrive. Since launching in 2022, the Lionesses have run development clinics, played in tournaments, and even hosted a girls jamboree. A highlight was winning the gold medal in the first BC Girls Baseball summer season in 2025.

Clinics will be broken into two age groups (8 – 9 years & 10+ years) and open to all girls on the North Shore. All girls from beginner to experienced are welcome to join. Also, clinics are open to baseball and softball players as coaches have extensive experience playing and coaching both.
