1. CRIM REC CHECK
WVLL's Risk Management Policy requires every adult (18+) with repetitive contact with WVLL youth to hold a current clean Canada Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sectors add-on, by May 1 of each season. This policy affects Team Coaches, Team Assistant Coaches, Team Managers, adult umpires, the Umpire-in-Chief, the Concession Manager and concession assistants if 18 or over, the Lost-and-Found Coordinator, all Board members, players 18 and over, and paid staff if any.
CRCs are valid for three years. If you don't have a current CRC naming WVLL as the receiving entity, getting one is much easier before. WVLL participates in the BC Ministry of Justice's Criminal Records Review Program (CRRP) which enables you to submit a CRC application online, at no cost. To get started, click on https://justice.gov.bc.ca/eCRC/ and enter WVLL's unique Access Code R9HL5SZJMN. Note that your responses to the CRRP application are not delivered to WVLL: we only receive the result. For more information visit http://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/safety/crime-prevention/criminal-record-check or contact the Ministry of Justice’s Security Programs Department at 1-855-587-0185.
If you've done this before, you probably already know whether your birthdate matches an existing criminal record and fingerprinting is thus required to prove that record is not you. If you have used the CRRP system for other youth organisations, you can elect to submit that check including fingerprint clearance, straight to WVLL. Otherwise, you will receive a letter from CRRP directing you to take the further step of submitting fingerprints. Bowen Island and Lions Bay residents go to Squamish RCMP front counter for free online service (it's no longer necessary to go to Whistler since Squamish is now online too; M-F 8:30 - 4:40, take the letter with you and maybe call 604.892.6100 to check details). West Van residents go to WVPD on Marine Drive, which is open for CRC fingerprinting Tuesday 9:00-11:00 and Thursday 3:00-4:30. Take the letter, pay the $22.00 charge, and submit to email@example.com for reimbursement.
Yes, we know it's a real pain.
2. LITTLE LEAGUE CANADA VOLUNTEER APPLICATION

Click on the document link below to download the fillable form, and return it completed to firstname.lastname@example.org by May 1 of each season.
